His political activities and community involvements include:
Executive Directory of the Religious Council on Urban Affairs in
Chicago, President of the Rockford Chapter of Operation PUSH,
member of the Citizens Committee to Elect Harold Washington - Mayor
of Chicago, and Executive Directory of the Metropolitan Open Housing
Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Rev. James has been involved in virtually every
level and phase of education from pre-school to university. He has
taught in grammar school, high school, college and graduate level.
He is a trainer of teaches and parents and a student motivator. He
is a recognize scholar and published authority in the field of
Pan-African studies and has taught at Northern Illinois University,
Morehouse School of Religion and the Interdenominational theological
Center. He is currently an adjunct faculty member a the C.H Mason
University in San Diego, California. As an administrator he has
serviced as director black programs at N.I.U., directory of
recruitment for Morehouse College and administrative dean and chief
executive officer of Morehouse School of Religion.
Rev. James was a prominently featured on the
critically acclaimed nationally televised documentary "Images &
Realities of the Black Male. He is a frequent guest on television
and radio talk shows and a speaker in demand on college campuses
around the country.
Rev. James has been
married to the form Miriam A. Johnson of Atlanta for more than 20
years. They are the parents of six children -- four boys and two
girls.
