Please note that the term "Black Gospel" refers not to the ethnicity of the artists but rather the style of music rendered. What's played here is ministered by artists of various races and backgrounds. Though not restricted by race, the music does cater to and is in some cases restricted to a particular style of gospel music and ministry message content regardless of the race, color or gender of the artist. Inspired by a Philadelphia air personality on my way to work one day in October 2002, God led me to launch BlackGospel Radio. Living in a great gospel town, I have been blessed to be exposed to great quality gospel music & ministry programming for many hours of the day. Blackgospel Radio provides the same quality of gospel music I take for granted in Philadelphia! But we have  gone much farther, even than my local stations in providing a variety of music and ministry programming including - preaching/teaching excerpts, Instrumental Worship, Praise & Worship, Contemporary, Gospel Classics, Philadelphia Style and Quartet. God continues to provide vision for the future of BlackGospel Radio. We are proud to have been the only Gospel, Christian or Religious station ranking on the Arbitron internet charts. Of the thousands of stations on Live365, our listenership ranks us in the top 10 stations on Live365 the world's largest independent internet radio network!

In addition to providing you, the listener with the best in Black Gospel Music & Ministry 24/7, royalties are paid by Live365. This blesses the artists financially as you listen! Many of you may look all over the internet for FREE music to download, but we must also consider the artist!
