answer to your problem there.

8. What is Live365.com?
It's a site that hosts 1000's of web radio stations broadcasting a
wide variety of music. If you want to become a broadcaster, for a
small monthly fee they will host all the tracks you want to play
and have all the streaming facilities etc. Why not start your own
station? Let's get the Gospel to the world!

for details.
9. What's all this about internet radio
about to die?
As with all things - if it's good, then there's always someone to
come along and spoil the party. Web radio, in it's best form,
gives exposure to music you might not have had the chance to
discover through 'normal' radio. Web Radio is under a very real
threat. Check www.saveinternetradio.org for details and show your
support in any way you can.
10. I've been blessed by BlackGospel
Radio's great music. How can I support the station?
Thanks! Ways to support BlackGospel Radio would be to pass the web
address
www.blackgospelradio.net or
www.live365.com/stations/blackgospelradio along to anyone you think would
also be
blessed by the music we're playing. You can also make a vote of
appreciation by rating the show using the drop down menu "Rate
this station" on the player window that's launched when you click
Listen Now. One of the final and best ways to support us to sign
up as a
Preferred Listener and then vote for us as your favorite
Live365 Radio Station. This actually helps pay for the station by
contributing part of your fees to directly offset our cost of
operating the station. This will allow us more room to upgrade the
station and add more music.
11. How can I buy the music played on the
station?
You can click the project links you see on this website to buy
from Amazon.com website, but you can click the
"Buy" button when a track is playing, or you can visit some of the
websites in our link section or on the New Music page!
12. How many songs are in your playlist
at any one time?
We currently have over 1000 songs that we build playlists from.
These 1000 songs are taken mostly from but are not limited to artists listed on our
Artist section.
13. Why
is the sound quality of the station so low?
We chose to keep the quality low (AM quality) so that we could provide
EVERYONE the opportunity to listen. There are many who do not
have high speed connections but 56K modems (or less) that don't
connect with high speeds. The higher the quality, the faster the
connection must be to listen. Our goal is to make the station
available to EVERYBODY and not penalize those that have
slower connections. If support of the station continues, we are
considering the launch of a high-speed (for broadband users)
FM and CD-Quality stations that will play music at high-quality, stereo sound. To
do this we must have many more "Preferred
Listeners" select us as their Favorite Station and
"Free" listeners purchasing "Preferred Memberships".
14. Why do we have to pay now to
listen at certain times of day?
Terrestrial
Radio Stations do not pay performance royalty fees for the music
that they play on AM & FM radio. When Live365 first started out,
Internet Radio Stations didn't have to pay these royalties either,
but unfortunately Congress yielded to the heavy pressure and
lobbying from the Recording Industry and passed laws which force
Internet Broadcasters to pay very high fees to play the music we
all love to listen to.
Live365 is committed to providing a broadcasting service to
personal broadcaster which allows and broadcasting on the
Internet, and to do it while covering the costs of these royalty
fees for everyone. It is a huge expense. Live365 has sought and
continues to seek the revenue from 3 sources to pay the bills.
1) From advertising sold on the Live365 site...banner ads, pop-ups
and audio ads in the broadcasts.
2) An increase to the costs that the broadcasters pay to keep
their station on the air and this (because of costs) recently had
to include capping the number of listeners for each station based
on how large of a package the broadcaster could afford. The
royalties increase with every listener.
3) And finally, offering to the listener the option to avoid all
ads, banners and pop-up, plus be guaranteed access to any Live365
station by becoming a Preferred Member.
Preferred Membership prices can be as low as $3.65 a month
if you pay in advance. That works out to only about 13 cents a
day! And may I say that if you are listening primarily to
Gospel Music, you really are in effect helping to keep this
ministry on the air! For just 13 cents a day!
All of these changes have
been very painful for everyone involved. I love having the
opportunity to broadcast on the internet and appreciate each and
every listener. My prayer is that you will continue to be a
Live365 listener and perhaps even a ministry supporter by
becoming a Preferred Member.
