Getting Airplay at BlackGospel Radio!
What's in the playlist now.
Currently my playlist consists only of
projects with the following:
- Project is by nationally known artist (or Philly area artist)
- Project has appeared in Top 40 Billboard Gospel Chart
- I currently own the project.
- Project is on sale in most of major online retail stores (iTunes, Amazon.com,
Tower Records, Barnes & Noble)
- For sale at one of the independent online outlets such as CDBaby.
It is important that the project be available to listeners for purchase online.
- Project falls in category of Traditional, Contemporary, or Quartet Gospel.
How to have your project
played.
In order for a project to be considered for my playlist, the
project meet meet the following requirements:
- Music should fit our
format. Please listen to the station and be confident that
your music will fit. We mostly play traditional, contemporary
and quartet gospel and various "praise & worship" styles. We are
revisiting our rap segment but currently are not playing much
music considered gospel rap. We do not play music categorized as
"Holy Hip Hop".
- Have had some previous/current radio play exposure (local,
regional or national). This is not required, but
preferable.
- All music must be copywritten.
- Project is on sale online. Preferable stores include Amazon, iTunes, CDBaby.
This
is so that listeners can click "Buy" from the player window.
- We must have a copy of the project.
Getting us a copy of the
project.
1) To send me a copy of the project, please mail the project in
CD format only

2) Please download the following form and enclose completed form with the project.

and print submission form. Please complete one(1) form for each project
submitted.
3) If you would like to
forward an .mp3 version of your song to us via email, please
email to
blackgospelradio@gmail.com and fax your form to
215-893-4321. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT
YOU DO NOT SEND HARDCOPY. We must have hardcopy
in our studios before adding it to our playlists!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please know that receiving the
project does not guarantee airplay.
You must follow-up by
contacting us at 888-513-4646 ext. 5 around 1-2 weeks after
anticipated project receipt. Longer may make it difficult to
locate your project. You can also follow up via e-mail at
blackgospelradio@gmail.com with Attn: Music Director
in the subject line.
